Welcome!

Hey guys!

Anyone wondering what JC stands for? If you're thinking what I'm thinking, you are correct. That's right! Jesus Christ. (Please, don't roll your eyes at me.) Yeah, I know what you're thinking: Oh, no! Not another Jesus FREAK! Well, I hate to disappoint you, but I am a believer, Christian, and even a Jesus FrEaK (If that's what you want to label me as, that's o.k. by me.) But the main reason why I've decided to start this blog, is not only to proclaim my love for Jesus, but to explain the many reasons behind my love for Him. I believe that by doing so, my audience, (you guys), may be more receptive to what I have to say about Him.

In addition to that, I would like to give you a little inside scoop on who He REALLY is. I am aware that He has been misrepresented by many. As a result, many misconceptions, preconceived notions, and stereotypical beliefs have been formed about Him. Many are skeptical. Others believe God is a superstition. And still others, believe that the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is nothing more than a folkloric tale; told from generation to generation. But what if it's not? What if He's real and alive? Sitting at right hand of God, eager to be allowed into your heart? Eager to show you His love, compassion, mercy, and grace? Eager to bring you hope, salvation, and forgiveness? What if these are not just empty words, recited from generation to generation. What if these words are full of life-giving truth?

What then?

Think about it.

Passover: A Celebration! (Part II)

So, here we are again! Ready to continue our discussion in regards to the true meaning and significance of the Lord's Passover. But today we will see how the Passover relates our deliverance from a different kind of slavery: Our slavery to sin. I realize it may be difficult for some to see; but there's a definite connection and relationship between the Lord's Passover celebrated by the Israelites in the Old testament, and the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ-described in the New Testament. And that's what I want to talk about, and focus on today. But before we jump into the heart of the matter, let us review some of the elements of the Passover meal, shall we?

We have the lamb, the unleavened bread (bread made without yeast) and bitter herbs correct? Well, when Jesus walked the earth, He observed every Jewish custom, for He himself was of Jewish origin-that is, humanly speaking. (Although He was rejected by His own people) Therefore, He also celebrated the Passover along with His disciples. In fact, He did so, only hours prior to His imprisonment! This passover celebration, is also commonly known as the Last Supper. But the difference between the Passover celebrated in the Old Testament and the Passover celebrated in the New Testament, is that the Old Testament Passover celebrated freedom from slavery inflicted by man upon man. And the Passover celebrated with Jesus and His disciples was a celebration of freedom from the guilt and shame of sin, and the promise of the gift of eternal life to those who believe and receive the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ! Those who believe and receive Jesus in their lives, and in their hearts, shall have life and not perish. They shall be set free and washed clean from sin. And they shall be called children of God. They shall have life in Jesus Christ.

The Sacrifice was made, the price was paid! Christ's blood was shed for you and for me. Now, all you have to do is believe, and receive freedom and salvation. He died for you and for me. He suffered the most painful and humiliating death in the history of mankind. And He did that, because He loves you and me. So much so, that He wants to spend eternity with us. So, He took upon Himself the guilt and shame of our sin, our sickness and disease, our emotional wounds, everything!

But it doesn't end there. He conquered death. He rose again on the third day! (Hallelujah!) And in Him we find provision for anything and everything we need; be that the forgiveness of our sins-provided true repentance accompanies confession-restored health to our physical bodies, healing for our emotional wounds and traumas, and strength and grace to live life one day at a time. Always confident in His loving care, and provision for every aspect of our lives, when we strive to live Christ-like lives; seeking His Kingdom first, and loving the Lord our God above all else.
In sum, the Passover, is a celebration not only of our liberation from sin through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, but also a celebration of His resurrection! He is risen! He's very much alive! Death could not overtake Him. And through Him, those who believe by faith in Him, have victory! THEY SHALL NOT PERISH! THEY SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE IN, AND WITH CHRIST! (HALLELUJAH! AMEN!)

Wouldn't you want that too?  It's available to you! All you have to do, is believe by faith in the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ. So, will you?

It is my heartfelt prayer to the Father, that His precious Holy Spirit would birth in your heart the faith to believe in these words of truth. May the Lord manifest Himself to you, and change your life forever!

It is in Jesus' name that I pray,

Amen & Amen!

Please let me leave you with some Scriptural food for thought, found in the book of Matthew 26:17-19, and Matthew 26:26-28 respectively-in regards to the Passover celebrated by Jesus and His disciples, in addition to, another Scriptural Truth concerning Jesus' resurrection, found in Matthew 28:1-6 (from the New Living Translation of the Bible):

"On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, 'Where do You want us to prepare the passover meal for You?' "As you go into the city," He told them, "you will see a certain man. Tell him, 'The Teacher says: My time has come, and I will eat the Passover meal with my disciples at your house.' "So the disciples did as Jesus told them and prepared the Passover meal there."
(Matthew 26:17-19)

"As they were eating, Jesus took some bread  and blessed it. Then He broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples saying, "Take this and eat it, for this is my body." And He took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them and said, "Each of you drink from it, for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and His people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many."
(Matthew 26:26-28)

"Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb. Suddenly, there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. his face shone like lightening, and his clothes were as white as snow. The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint. Then the angel spoke to the women. "Don't be afraid!" I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He's not here! He's risen from the dead, just as He said would happen."

(Matthew 28:1-6)

All glory be to God!
Forever and Always!
Amen & Amen!
